The Upper Saranac Foundation’s efforts and techniques are considered the role model for Invasive management throughout North America. As the maintenance phase of the program continues today, milfoil is now considered a rare plant in lake.
The harvesting effort will continue into September on Upper Saranac Lake prior to moving to Fish Creek Campground. Efforts within the Campground began in 2016. In the first two years of harvesting invasive species, a total of 17 tons on milfoil has been removed.
