To say the least, 2018 has been a challenging year for the Upper Saranac Foundation. The discovery of a sinkhole at the Dam caused great concern. The Board of the USF made a decision in August to raise the needed funds to repair the Dam. There was some concern at the time that it would take away from our Annual Fundraising Campaign in November. Fortunately, the response to the issues at the Dam were beyond expectations. That brings us to the Annual Appeal.
At the time of the Annual Appeal letter that went out in November, there were 170 donors who contributed to the Dam that had had not yet contributed to our Annual Appeal. Since then , that number has gone down significantly, but there is still a ways to go.
Our goal is to continue to raise the $300,000 it takes to run all the programs of the Foundation. As of today we raised over $270,000 towards our goal.
As I noted last year, we remain resolute in our commitment to address any issue that might threaten in any way the pristine quality of Upper Saranac Lake. With your help, which is needed and important, we will continue with this mission.
Many of you have responded to this Appeal, and your Contribution is greatly appreciated. For those who have not made an Annual Donation, please consider a gift before the end of this year to help with our efforts. To contribute, you can either do so on-line at www.usfoundation.net/donate, or send a check to:
