Upper Saranac Foundation (USF) is looking to hire seasonal divers to manage aquatic invasive species. Do you have an interest in diving but need to be certified? We will help you to get certification! All full-time employees can receive a bonus of up to $1,000 upon completing a full season (May-October). Shorter temporary positions are also available (June- July).
The diver’s primary responsibility will be to hand-harvest underwater invasive plants to prevent their spread throughout Adirondack waterbodies. On-the-job training to become certified is available.
Work Schedule: Seasonally, May – October, four 10-hour days, generally Monday-Thursday. Staff will work in the Saranac Lake and Tri-Lakes region.

Special Skills Wanted: Current diver certification preferred / On-the-job training while being certified is available. Aquatic invasive species recognition/ knowledge and Boat Drive certification preferred.
Other Job Requirements: Candidates for this position must enjoy the outdoors, teamwork, and being on and in the water.
