Join Upper Saranac Foundation Lake Manager Guy Middleton to learn about invasive species!
The Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District is sponsoring an information session, “Invasive Species in Your Own Backyard,” as part of New York State Invasive Species Awareness Week. This educational opportunity will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at the Tupper Lake Community Room, 21 Santa Clara Ave.
Attendees will learn how to identify invasive plants, prevent their spread, and explore management options. Guest speaker Caitlin Stewart, conservation educator at the Hamilton County Soil and Water Conservation District, will lead the discussion and share her expertise on the subject.
The Upper Saranac Foundation is looking forward to involving our watershed residents in this citizen science opportunity. For more information, or to pre-register, contact the Franklin County SWCD at (518) 651-2097 or aleach@fcswcd.org.
